- Description
- U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is issuing this sources sought notice as part of its market research to identify potential sources of supply who can furnish GPS tracking devices in support of its Marine Special Operations School (MSOS). MSOS requires GPS tracking devices to monitor those candidates participating in their Assessment and Selection (A&S) Course. Candidates participating in the course are required to conduct physical activities such as land navigation and force marches unsupervised, and is some cases could be as far away as six kilometers from instructor aid and support personnel. The GPS tracking device is an essential tool which will be used as a notification system in the event someone is lost or injured and will be used to compile data on a candidate?s performance (speed, distance, path the individual traveled, etc.). All interested sources are encouraged to submit company and product literature (to include pricing), and any other pertinent information for the Government?s consideration. Information should include point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code and or tax ID number, as well as size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.). The Government is looking for a commercial product that at a minimum meets the requirements as outlined in the attached word document labeled GPS tracking device. This sources sought notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. The NAICS for this effort is 334220. Interested vendors should provide informa tion via email to: Maj Ken Burger, (910) 451-3478, email kenneth.burger@usmc.mil.
