Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Army Corp. of Engineers (Portland) solicits: Steel Pipe - Schedule 40 Steel, 40 feet long and 4 inches inside diameter (ID) - a total of eighty-two 40' sections - of the eighty-two, twenty -two will be for delivery to Bonneville Dam on February 1, 2008 and sixty for delivery to John Day Dam February 1, 2008 - the contractor will provide a welder at each dam - approx. 2 days for Bonneville and 5 days for John Day - the welder will weld three 40' sections together to form a single pipe length of 120' for John Day project - Bonneville will need two 40' sections welded together to form a single 80' length of pipe - each completed section of pipe (120' John Day and 80' for Bonneville) will have a funnel (cone) welded to the top and a plate on the bottom - each pipe will have a 1 1/2 inch slot cut the length of each pipe section - there will be 4 mounting brackets welded to each 40 foot pipe at 3', 14', 26', and 37' to anchor the pipe during instal lation - all pipe will be painted with a 2-part epoxy from International Marine Coatings (Formula 150 Primer (MIL-DTL-24441) epoxy (one coat inside and outside) Formula 151 Topcoat (Haze Gray color #5749)(MIL-DTL-24441) One coat inside and 2 outside (thick ness for each coat 3-4 mils dry)) - all pipes and brackets will need to be sandblasted prior to painting - thirty bottom plates will be welded onto the pipes at the dams - thirty 12 inch diameter funnels will be welded to the pipes on the dams - see drawi ngs for details. Acceptance will be at Destination. FOB Point is Destination. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies. Quoters are to indicate if they have completed ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications Application) regi stration, if not, they are required to submit completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies and does not include any ad denda. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items (APR 2004)(DEVIATION), and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicab le to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (SEP 2006)(DEVIATION) applies.
