Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/MARKET RESEARCH W911S8-08-R-0006 Yakima Training Center (YTC), Yakima, Washington anticipates a requirement for exclusive use aerial fire suppression services to include one rotary wing aircraft capable of delivering a minimum of 800 gallons of water in a single trip utilizing a self-fill ing, fixed tank to fight wildland fires within the confines of YTC and fires that threaten to enter or pass through the training center. The anticipated time frame is 15 May - 30 September 2008 with 4 one-year Option Periods. Through the below Market Research Questionnaire, the Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Northern Region (NR), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Lewis, WA seeks the following information from industry: the identification of interested parties, approximate cost, and amount of start up time required prior to 15 May 2008. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposals (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses to this RFI will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, wh ich could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. ACA, DOC will not accept unsolicited proposals related to the subject of this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked - Proprietary - will be handled accordin gly. The responder must clearly identify any information it considers to be sensitive or proprietary. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated and incurred by responding to this RFI. The Gove rnment reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this notice. Responses to the Market Research Questionnaire are encouraged from all interested parties. Responses should include the name and telephone number of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss responses with Government representatives. Yo u are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation.
