Description
Egyptian Air Force C-130 Engine Compressor Vane Refurbishment Program This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. ANY REQUESTS FOR A SOLICIATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This sources sought synopsis is in support of market research being conducted by the United States Air Force (USAF), through the Air Force Security Assistance Center (AFSAC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH 45433-5337 to identify potential business sources interested in refurbishing C-130 Engine Compressor Vanes for the Egyptian Air Force (EAF). The AFSAC is seeking qualified, interested sources to set up a refurbishment program for EAF owned C-130 engine compressor vanes, as an alternative to the purchase of new compressor vanes. Seventy-five kits, each kit will comprise 14 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) / Part Numbers (P/Ns): Compressor Vane Stages 1 through 13, with a total of 27 vanes per kit (2 each for Stages 1 ? 12; one each for Stage 13). The compressor vanes desired are Ni-CAD plated. Qualified contractors must have the technical expertise and engineering proficiency to accomplish reliably the refurbishment process, to meet delivery schedules and production volume, must be able to provide technical-related data for comparison regarding the refurbished vanes versus brand new ones: expected lifetime, potential risks or vulnerabilies and cost. Contractors responding to this Sources Sought Synopsis shall submit the following information electronically no later than 27 Dec 2007, 4:30 EST to debra.graves@wpafb.af.mil. Reponses must include the following: name and address of the firm, capabilities related to the task areas noted above, size of business, average annual revenue for the past 3 years and number of employees, whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HubZone, and/or woman-owned, number of years in business, affiliate information, parent company, joint venture partners, list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and point of contract) and a capability statement for the accomplishment of need as outlined above. The page limitation for this submission is ten (10) pages. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse the respondents for any costs associated with their responses. This Sources Sought Synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to contact the submitting parties on an as required basis for further clarification of the information provided. The Government will use its evaluation of the information provided and other research to determine the sources that appear qualified to perform the work required by the Government.
