Description
This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a Request for Proposal and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking vendors that can provide rentals of a temporary high pressure air compressor (HPAC) capable of supplying 4500 psig and low pressure air compressor (LPAC) capable of supplying 125 psig to support US Naval submarines while in port at the Naval Submarine Base Point Loma, CA. Each HPAC shall be five stage, direct air cooled, oil lubricated, reciprocating compressor with crank shaft driven oil pump, low oil pressure switch, oil pressure gauge, full flow oil filter, inlet filter, intercoolers and aftercoolers, separators, safety valves, gauges and drain valves, and shall include high pressure hose at a minimum of 200 ft and each hose shall be tested and certified at 10,000 psi. Each LPAC shall be an air cooled rotary screw with safety controls and sound enclosure, shall deliver 200 scfm at 125 psi, and include a 240 gallon receiver with relief valve, manual drain and manifold with 4 service valves. Receiver and compressor mounted on a common base. Each LPAC shall include a minimum of 200 ft of low pressure hose tested and certified at 125 psi. SWRMC is contemplating a basic ordering agreement. The applicable NAICS code is 333912 Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing. Interested contractors should submit a capabilities statement (not to exceed five pages) that demonstrates their capability to provide the HPAC and LPAC rentals as described herein. The capabilities statement shall include company name, address, small business status (small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned), and point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm. The capabilities statement should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarde d to your firm, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, contract description, and a customer POC.
