- The Miami VA Healthcare System is requesting that all four (4) four present bottom blow valves on two (2) Hurts boilers be removed and replaced with four (4) Yarway Seatless Blow-off valves. Yarway valves are to be 1 ? -inch Cast Steel, rated at a minimum of 300 Lbs. per VHA Specifications. Yarway valves will require the installation of 1 ? -inch schedule 80 black pipe and slip welds fittings and flanges from the boiler bottom tapings to the new valves, as well as reconnection to the existing outlet piping of the bottom blow system. This work must be accomplished by an R-1 stamp certified welder and R-1 forms for the aforementioned work will be required to be produced at the completion of the work. Work to include off-site removal of old bottom blow valves and all debris (i.e. piping, trash, shipping crates, etc.) associated with the removal the old bottom blow valves and installation of the new Yarway valves. All work is to be accomplish on "regular working hours" at straight pay, during
