- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Nature Publishing, under FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 will be used. See attached list of journals. Nature Publishing is the sole publisher of the electronic titles, which are required by OSTI. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates you firm's ability to provide equivalent journals and rationale as to why they should be considered, as described above. All interested firms must respond by 1:00 pm (EST), December 15, 2007, Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing the capability information will be provided by Department of Energy.
