- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking qualified firms for the construction of a complete potable water system at the Sacramento Landing Facility in Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS), located in West Marin County, California. The work of this project will require the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals as needed to construct the complete potable water system. The project includes earthwork, piping with all fittings and hydrants, water treatment system, electrical work, and the furnishing of a prefabricated wood framed building as required by the specifications and drawings to be provided. Specific activities relative to this project as identified by bid items include: Seismic Report to locate and drill new well (including 300 feet of drilling and removal of all spoils from the site); Structural Concrete Work (including building foundations and any other misc concrete work); Prefabricated treatment shed structure; Complete Water System (including pump and all piping and treatment facilities from the well to all buildings and hydrants); Complete Electrical Work (including new service from existing transformer and connection of all equipment, well pump, lights and outlets); Excavation and Grading (including all trenching and backfill, grading, pavement and tank subbase and repair and reseeding of all disturbed areas); and New Pavement and Pavement Repairs (including asphalt and concrete paving as required). The project range is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000 with a performance period not to exceed 180 days after receipt of a notice to proceed. Award selection will be based on a best value determination after considering price and factors other than price, such as the contractor's experience performing similar work and other criteria as identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be available via electronic commerce only and can be accessed on or after December 12, 2007 at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after the date of issuance of the RFP. The contractor is reqponsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered. The NPS welcomes the participation of small, minority, women, and disabled veteran owned business enterprises.
