Description
Services of a contractor to furnish all tools, labor, materials and expertise to complete Project 596-07-102ES, "Replace Deteriorated Waste Lines, CDD" at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, Kentucky in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. Work includes plumbing, general construction, alterations, and mechanical and electrical work necessary for the removal of deteriorated drains and certain other items, i.e., prepping and installing chase access doors, core drilling of floor slabs, and enclosing drain and vent risers located outside of existing chases. Estimated construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Work is to be completed within 210 calendar days. This procurement is 100% set-aside for competition among companies that are certified HubZone by the Small Business Administration, and is subject to availability of funds. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) No. 238220 with a size standard of $13 million applies to this procurement. Solicitation documents (specifications and drawings) will be available for download on the website http://fedbizopps.gov after December 18, 2007. All amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted to this website; bidders are advised it is their responsibility to obtain and acknowledge all amendments. It is essential that interested parties register to Receive Notification and register as Interested Vendor. Requests for hard copy solicitation documents must be in writing to the Contracting Officer, as NO telephone requests will be accepted. Walk-throughs will be conducted by Engineering Service Projects Office at 2:00 p.m., EST on the following dates: December 27, 2007; January 3, January 10, and January 15, 2008. Contractors shall meet in Engineering Service Room C2-34, 2nd floor, Clinical Addition (1101 Veterans Drive).
