Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Applied Cytometry Systems, Inc., 777 Campus Commons Road, Sacramento, CA 95825-8343, for a Luminex 200 system, which includes a Luminex 200 cytometer, Luminex XYP plate handler, Luminex high-throughput Sheath Delivery system; StarBundle advanced software package with Control License Version 2.3 for Acquisition and Analysis, Worklist editor for post-acquisition data editing, and StarCollate software for data collation with 1-year warranty and software with FDA approval; on-site installation and training with lifetime support; and calibration microspheres and 20L Sheath Fluid. This unit and software gives the laboratory the ability to adjust gates (bead regions/singlet gate) during acquisition or later. During post-acquisition analysis it is possible to re-adjust gates and re-analyze the data. This keeps the beads from shifting and not being counted. The software allows for multi-user log-in and ability to assign different security levels to different users. It customizes software according to individual user preferences for plate layout, acquisition, curve fitting and reporting, and provides automatic data reduction (post acquisition). Reports and standard curves are generated automatically, providing results in a specified unit. It handles dilutions and calculates concentrations. It gives the ability to exclude individual standards or unknown samples. It has automatic error detection and flagging during acquisition. It allows for post-acquisition editing of the standard concentrations and re-analysis. It can collate multiple plates to one standard curve. The software is also required to be compatible with other data and programs already in use by the laboratory. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This procurement is not set-aside for small business. For contractual questions contact Linda M. Young.
