- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheris Administration intends to negotiate with Process Software, LLC on a Sole source basis in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) only one responsible source. This acquisition is to establish a purchase order for Multinet Media and Documentation update, and tweleve (12) months of Multinet limited site annual maintenance to Process Software, LLC. The NOAA/NESDIS/Satellite Operations Control Center have several Vax computers which are used to manage the Geostationary spacecraft. There are software products which are used for network connectivity that have been licensed from Process Software, LLC. In order to obtain updates to these software products and to receive software support from Process Software, LLC, requires that NOAA/NESDIS/ Satellite Operations Facility to purchase a yearly software maintenance agreement. This procurement action accomplishes this requirement. A sole source purchase order is required becasue this service is available only from Process Software, LLC. Offers certain they can meet the requirements are requested to submit in writing an affiirmative response and technical capabilities. All written response must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements. The responses must be sufficent to permit agency analysis to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit such documentation will result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written response must be received no later than 15-days after publication of this synopsis. (Note 22 applies with a 15-day posting).
