- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR PARTS 12 AND 13 AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The soliciation document # is RFQ-08-0047 and this is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated FAR provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-19 and 2005-20 effective September 17, 2007 and September 6, 2007 respectively. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. NAICS Code 334515, Business Size standard of 500 employees. This RFQ is for preventive maintenance and calibration services and repair services in support of the BEP's Eastern Currency facility's Paper Lab. The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all equipment, transportation and labor, unless otherwise specified in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS), for providing these services and for complying with all applicable Federal, State and Local regulations as well as Organizational (e.g. The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), NIST, TAPPI, ASTM and ISO) accreditations and standards required for providing such services. Offeror shall be A2LA certified, use test equipment whose accuracy is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or accepted value of natural physical constants, and registered in CCR database. The period of performance shall include a Base Period along and four (4) one-year Option Periods that maybe exercise. Refer to the attached PWS for additional details.
