Description
THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. DO NOT REGISTER FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AT THIS TIME. THERE IS A DRAFT SOLICITATION AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW ON OUR WEBSITE (see instructions below). The Government may consider comments and inquiries while pre paring the final plans and specs; however, the Government is not seeking comments and may not provide responses to inquiries. A solicitation will be issued on or about the end of FY08 with proposals due on or about the first part of FY09. he proposed IRL- S, C-23/24 STA project will be located in St. Lucie County, Florida adjacent to C-24 and within the North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Stormwater Management System. The STA is bounded by the NSLRWCD Canals 69 and 70 to the north, Centr al & South Florida (C&SF) Project canal C-24 to the west, NSLRWCD Canal 73 to the south, and NSLRWCD Header Canal and Canal 71 to the east. The IRL-S, C-23/24 STA project is configured with multiple cells to provide several scenarios of flows, depths and treatment detention times. The STA is divided by County Road (CR) 613 with Cells 1 and 2 to the west and Cells 3, 4, and 5 to the east. County Road 609 is on the east side of Cells 3, 4, and 5. Flow is from west to east with inflow starting from C-24 an d outflow releases made into the confluence point of the North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Header Canal and Canal 71, just east of CR 609. Along the east side of each cell there will be two gated culvert structures to control the dept h and discharges from each cell. Outflow releases from Cells 1 and 2 will be routed to Cells 3, 4, and 5. Outflow releases from Cells 3, 4, and 5 will be routed east to Canal 71 and then to Ten Mile Creek. Water from the C-24 canal will be pumped into the west side of Cells 1 and 2. This pump station will have a capacity of 260 cfs. At the east side of Cells 1 and 2 the water is collected and sent under CR 613 by a gated culvert structure to the second pump station. The second pump station will have a c apacity of 240 cfs. The flow is then distributed into the west side of Cells 3, 4, and 5. The treated water is collected at the east side of Cells 3, 4, and 5 and sent under CR 609 by a gated culvert structure and released into Canal 71. Magnitude of Co nstruction is between $25,000,000.00 - $100,000,000.00 Million. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government.
