Description

THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. THE ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION IS 28 NOV 2007. THIS IS AN ESTIMATED DATE ONLY AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. The solicitation will result in a firm fixed price five-year indefinite delivery indefinite qua ntity (IDIQ) contract. The Government has a requirement for a shearing machine, metal squaring, floor mounted. In accordance with Commercial Item Description A-A-59367, Part Identification Number A593673F, Type III-floor-mounted, gap frame, foot treadle operated shear with cutting width no less than 52 inches. FOB is Destination. DFARS 252.211-7003 (UID) and DFARS 252.211-7006 (RFID) will apply. Although the shearing machine is clearly a commercial item, Army requirements/use is more rigorous than the u se by the typical commercial customer. Therefore, the Government reserves the right to conduct inspection and performance testing in accordance with the requirements as specified (to be included in the solicitation). Minimum guaranteed contract quantity is 6. Maximum contract quantity is 50. This solicitation will be issued electr onically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hard copies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent up on any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsible and result in the rejection of same. THE RESPONSE DATE ON THIS NOTICE IS FOR ARCHIVE PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT THE DATE WHICH OFFERS ARE DUE. Note 12 applies.
