- Headquarters, Army Sustainment Command (ASC) is conducting a market survey Sources Sought to identify qualified firms to provide equipment and driver/operators certified to transport conventional ammunitions at Crane Army Ammunition Activity in Cr ane, Indiana. No Minimum for hours/dollars, Maximum days per week 7 days, Maximum hours per day - 10 hours, Maximum drivers per day - 15, Maximum for load 35,000 lbs, Drivers must be available within 24 hours notice, Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and po ssess a HAZMAT endorsements, Secret Clearance, U.S. Citizenship, Pass Daily Motor Vehicle Inspection (Transportating Hazardous Materials), DD Form 626, Tractors/Trailers have placards available, Provide own equipment such as tractors with semi-trailers, Pr ovide own strapping and tarps for inclement weather. Hauls all type of conventional ammunition and ammunition components in support of the Crane Army Ammunition Activity. These items are all hauled within the confines of the Center. Hauls any inert material related to ammunition production Interested parties should respond within 10 calendar days of this market survey by transmitting information relevant to their past performance and qualifications to perform this type service. Only written communications will be accepted and should be addr essed to: ASC, Attn: AMSAS-ACA-I Barba Drebenstedt, Rock Island, IL 61299-6500. PLEASE NOTE: There are no firm requirements for this and funds are not available. This action has no relationship to any formal solicitation. No solicitation will be is sued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The Government will in no way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the description above. All information obtained from this request shall be made available for competitive bidding purposes, should the need arise. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-NOV-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
