- This is a combined/ synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The United States Navy requires tailoring of utility uniforms to support the 800 plus Navy personnel processing for expeditionary missions per month for mobilization and individual augmentee assignments. This equates to 3200 uniforms and 1600 covers. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is PRN6260408BADGE. Uniform insignias and embroidery will be mounted in accordance with NAVPERS 156651. The anticipated period of performance consists of a 12 month base period and two 12 month option periods. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery ? Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with delivery order provisions. The exercise of option years remains the Government?s unilateral right. Necessary tailoring services shall be as described below:
