- This combined synopsis/solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure, on a Sole Source basis, from OpSens, Inc., 2014, Cyrille Duquet, Bureau 125, Quebec, Canada, GIN 4N6, a Firm Fixed Price contract for three (3) Radsens 8-channel temperature sensing systems and twenty-four (24) OTG-R HERO temperature sensor probes. OpSens, Inc. holds the license to make Metricor (which have become defective and are being replaced by the RadSens system and associated temperature probes ) fiber optic probes. The Technical Specifications for the Fiber Optic Temperature Measurement System are as follows: 1) Standard 19 inch rack-mounted chassis; 2) Capability of 1 to 8 independent measurement channels in one chassis; 3) Channel response time to a step temperature change: less than 11 milliseconds; 4) Adjustable sampling rate, top-end at least 1 kilohertz; 5) Capability to make absolute temperature measurements; 6) Each channel capable of measuring in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit; 7) All 8 channels able to operate simultaneously at full data rate specified in #4 above; 8) Analog output through a BNC connector into at least a 100 ohm load; 9) Analog output range between +/- 5 volts DC; 10) Standard ST-style fiber optic input connector; 11) Use 100 micron fiber technology to remain compatible with current systems: 12) Capability to store data on an internal hard drive; 13) Ability to operate all systems functions without an external compute r and 14) Operate on standard 120 volts AC, 60 Hertz electrical power. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334513. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3829; the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All deliveries shall be inspected and accepted at the point of destination. All deliveries shall be delivered FOB Destination to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 5493 Maple Road, Suite 156, Dahlgren, VA. 22448-5153.
