Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia Site intends to solicit, on an unrestricted, full and open competitive basis, for the procurement of commercial depot level overhaul of Turbine Mid-Frames (TMF) removed from U.S. Navy LM2500 Single Shank Turbine (SST) Gas Generators (GG). In addition to mechanical failure, some TMF units may contain corrosion and/or structural cracks. GE Part Number L24288 applies. Overhauled TMF must be ready for issue. The contractor is responsible for obtaining the GE repair manual and the U.S. Navy technical manual and technical directive index will be provided after contract award. All repair work shall be performed in accordance with the latest version of GE Industrial Repair Manual GEK 99418. The Contractor or FAA qualified sub-contractors must have capabilities to perform all repairs provided specified in this manual. The contractor must also possess all special support equipment and tooling required to perform the overhaul. All replacement parts will be provided in accordance with the latest version of U.S. Navy LM2500 Technical Manual S9234-AD-MMO-070/LM2500. The contractor must have prior experience with the overhaul of the GE LM2500 TMF for industrial or marine customers and have a current FAA certification in the repair of LM2500 gas turbine engines or LM2500 turbine mid-frames (TMF). The solicitation is expected to result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), type contract with a sixty (60) month period of performance. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333611. This is a commercial items procurement which shall be solicited in accordance with FAR 13.5. Upon its release, the solicitation will be made available electronically at www.neco.navy.mil . A hard copy of the solicitation will not be made available. Offerors shall be required to submit both price and techni cal proposals. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor R egistration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instructions. The solicitation is expected to be released within 30 days of this posting. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be established in the solicitation.
