- Description
- This solicitation contains a base period plus four option periods. The Kansas City District intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Construction solicitation on or about December 4, 2007. This requirement is for Emergency Dredging on the Missouri River. The contractor will provide all the necessary equipment and labor to dr edge sand and gravel at a given location as identified in the Solicitation. The dredging operation must be capable of dredging a minimum of 750 tons per hour. This emergency dredging will occur in the channel of the river. The contractor will dispose of the dredged materials in the river at a site chosen by the Contracting Officer within 1000 feet of the dredging operation. However the contractor can market the sand and gravel as long as the minimum dredging capability is meet. Under the Emergency Dred ging Scope of Work the contractor must begin dredging onsite within 72 hours of notice to proceed. This procurement is Full and Open and will be completed by SEALED BID, Invitation For Bid (IFB). IF AWARDED THE CONTRACT, THE SUCESSFUL BIDDER WILL BE REQUI RED TO PROVIDE PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS WITHIN TWO 2 CALENDER DAYS OF ISSUANCE OF TASK ORDER. If requirements occur the magnitude of each task order is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Copies of the solicitation and any amendments shall be made ava ilable on FedTEDS website which is www.fedteds.gov. If not previously registered in the system, the website contains instructions. Solicitations must be received at the Contracting Office by 1:00 PM (CST) on or about January 4, 2008.
