- Description
- The Wallowa-Whitman and Umatilla National Forests are proposing to offer for contract, the coordination and communications workload associated with tribal government relations with the Nez Perce titled Tribal Staff Assistant. The contract Tribal Staff Assistant works with the Forest Service line and staff and Nez Perce Tribal members and staff to share information and help coordinate resource activities of mutual interest. Some of the duties of the contract Tribal Staff Assistant will be to analyze, make recommendations to resolve issues between parties, share information, helps coordinate resource activities of mutual interest, to provide tribal expertise and coordination to the Forests and maintains good working relationships with the Tribal members and Forest staff. It is anticipated that this work will amount to approximately 4-5 days per month or an estimated 60 days per year and is not anticipated to exceed one year. Solicitations for this project will be posted to Fed Biz Ops on or about November 30, 2007 with bids due on December 20, 2007.
