- Description
- The US Forest Service, Chugach National Forest Supervisor's Office intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Accel Fire Systems, Inc. 816 Whitney Road, Anchorage AK 99501, for the installation of pre-action sprinkler protection and clean agent suppression system in the computer and archaeology archive rooms in the Supervisor's Office. The period of performance is approximately 1 Dec 2007 to 30 Jan 2008. The Government intents to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. The Forest Service occupies leased space in the Calais II Building. The sprinkler system was recently upgraded to comply with Municipality of Anchorage codes. Accel Fires Systems, under a contract issued by building management, performed the work. The system is currently under warranty and can only be worked on by Accel Fire Systems. The unique suppression system requirements for the rooms specified are not covered under the building lease and installation of this special equipment must be paid by the tenant. The Government anticipates an award date on or about 30 Nov 2007. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquiries must include a full capability statement and must be received no later than three (3) days after publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of response to this announcement. The following numbered note applies: 22.
