- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for 3 each S900, or like, Bariatric Wheelchairs. The minimum requirements for the wheelchairs are: overall wheelchair width must not exceed 30 inches; seat width 23 inches; seat depth 18 inches; weight capacity 350 pounds, minimum; model #18 ? Adult full length fixed HT Conversion arms; recliner full; U75 Dove Gray Vinyl; airline buckle seat pos. strap; hook and loop chest pos. strap; gussets for dual crossbrace; gusset frame (4 places); reinforced hanger brackets; shock absorbing fork assembly (springs only, NO petroleum base lubricants or gas filled cartridges); smartleg articulating legrests aluminum; and extra large aluminum footplates. One of the three chairs, only one, MUST be set up with Hook & Loop Seat and Chest Positioning Straps, the other two will use the airline buckle seat positoining straps. This item will be utilized in a Multi-place Hyperbaric Chamber with concern to changing pressures and high levels of oxygen. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-21 (07 Nov 2007) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20071108. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The NAICS Code is 423450; size standard is 500 employees. The type contract anticipated is firm-fixed price.
