- Description
- The General Services Administration is requesting proposals from renewable electric generation suppliers to provide renewable energy certificates (RECs) to GSA's Heartland and Mid-Atlantic Regions to assist the Government in attaining a LEED-NC Silver ratings in accordance with the Green Building Rating System for New Construction & Major Renovations Version 2.2. The successful offeror will deliver required RECs by December 31, 2007. The solicitation requests pricing for a total of 16,935,712 kWhs of RECs. The procurement method will be a competitive negotiated Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with Part 12 (Commercial Item) of the FAR. This announcement constitutes the presolicitation notice and the synopsis. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror that offers the lowest price per MWh for RECs and meets the solicitation's minimum technical requirements. Supplier technical and price responses to the solicitation are due no later than 11:00 a.m. on December 5, 2007 at the GSA Bid Room (see solicitation for address). Proposals may also be faxed or emailed to the Contracting Officer per the solicitation due no later than 11:00 a.m. on December 5, 2007. This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis.
