- FISC San Diego Regional Contracting Department is announcing its intent to issue a request for quotation in accordance FAR Part 12 and FAR 13.5 for the following: Rental of Forklifts; Weekly or Monthly rental periods; Propane (LPG) powered; Diesel powered; 3,000, 5,000, 6,000, 8,000 (construction type/all terrain), 15,000 and 20,000 pound capacity type forklifts; Standard type forklifts with air or solid tires, free-lift masts, reach heights from 15? to 30?; (2) full lpg tanks are to be provided for each forklift rented, contractor to provide tire repair service, contractor to provide all corrective and preventative maintenance; Quantities of forklifts required for each year: (2) each, 3,000lb; (4) each 5,000lb; (36) each 6,000lb; (2) each 8,000lb; (4) each 15,000lb; (4) each 20,000lb; All forklifts to be provided for rental are required to be 2003 models or newer as of the effective date of the contract award. NAICS: 532590, size standard $6.5 million is applicable; This procurement is issued as unrestricted. A single award, firm fixed price requirements type IDTC contract is anticipated to be awarded as a result of the RFQ. Delivery orders will be issued for the rental of the equipment. The Government is seeking quotations from qualified small or large businesses. Contractors will be evaluated on their capability to provider equipment that meets the Government?s requirements and their ability to perform maintenance and repair services to the equipment. Technical capability, past performance and price will be evaluated. The Government intends to a contract for a base year period and four one year options. Inspection and acceptance of all material and services will be performed at Destination. The primary delivery location is the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific, San Diego, CA 92135. Standard commercial packaging and marking will be required. The RFQ (SF1449) will contain a detailed statement of work describing the Government?s requirements for delivery and services. This synopsis period is issued from November 16, 2007 to November 29, 2007. The solicitation period and RFQ will be available for review and downloading at the following websites: www.neco.navy.mil and www.fedbizopps.gov from November 30, 2007 through December 28, 2007.
