Description
This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or other wise pay for information solicited. The purpose of this Sources Sought/Market Research is to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing Ammonium Nitrate 75 percent, MN85, NSN: 1375-01-494-9223, manufacturing names include Dyno AP 1 1/4 x 8 and Dynamite, Nitroglycerin 40 percent, M58 7, NSN: 1375-00-096-3095, manufacturing names: Unimax 1 1/4 x 8 to be used in dog scent kits. Ammonium Nitrate shall be packed 108 sticks per case. Nitroglycerin shall be packed 102 sticks per case. Additional packaging requirements include: Each stick will be in a multy-ply paper tube shell, both ends of each stick will be dipped in parafin wax to seal against water intrusion. Each stick will be place into a 4x10 inch or 5x12 inch zip lock MIL-B117H , Type II bag. Bagged sticks will be placed in boxes lined with heavy clear plastic. Interested firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing Ammonium Nitrate and Nitroglycerin are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government a brief description of summary of their companys capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel and past manufacturing experience as it relates to the above criteria. Additionally, responses should include Minimum Procurement Quantity (MPQ) required for production. Information must be submitted to: HQ, ASC, ATTN: AMSAS-ACA- M /Stephanie Migawa, 1 Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299-6500 or electronically to stephanie.migawa@us.army.mil. Please respond NO LATER THAN 1 December 2007 and identify: Ammonium Nitrate and Nitroglycerin Sources Sought-Market Research, as the s ubject of your response.
