Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-08-T-0005. This acquisition is issued as an RFQ. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-20 (Sept 2007). (iv) This acquisition is set-aside for small business. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): Note: This Material Must Be Domestic Steel CLIN 0001(W813LT72407033) QTY: 2EA. 3 X 96 X 144 Mil-A-12560, Class 1 Rev H Amd 3 Armor Plate CLIN 0002(W813LT72847030) QTY: 2 EA. 6 x 72 x 144 Mil-A-12560, Class 1 Rev H Amd 3 Steel (vi) Description of requirements: N/A (vii)The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation (Jan 1999) - Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition. The specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of that provision are as follows: (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical acceptability: does the offer meet the Governments requirements? Price  the total price for all line items combined. Award will be made to that offeror whose products meet the Governments requirements and is the lowest overall price. (b) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the of fer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award. (viii) The clause at 52.211.16, Variation in Quantity (Apr 1984) is not applicable to this action. (ix)The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this clause none. (x) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items and DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
