- Description
- This project consists of the reconstruction of a 187 ft long, and 6 ft wide trail bridge that was partially destroyed in the November 2006 flood. The preliminary plans are to replace both the destroyed glu-lam girders and remaining glu-lam girders with steel girders supported by the remaining three piers. The new structure will probably be somewhat longer, with cantilevered sections off one or both ends and the resulting contract could include final design of the new steel members. Work includes but is not limited to removal of old timber; steel and timber assembly; and possible construction of gabions or other pier protection. The project is not in wilderness and mechanized equipment will be allowed on site. ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE OF THE SOLICITATION IS APPROX LATE FEBRUARY OR MARCH 2008. Estimated start work date is approx April 15th, 2008 weather permitting. All work is to be complete no later than June 27, 2008. The Governments estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bonding will be required for this project. This project is 100% set-aside for HUBzone small business concerns.
