- Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type contract for Hotel Accommodations and Hotel Services located in the geographic area: Baltimore, MD within 6 blocks from: Veterans Benefits Academy 31 Hopkins Plaza, Suite G-100 Fallon Federal Building Baltimore, MD 21201 Request for Proposal VA-101-08-RQ-0002 is in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. This announcement incorporates FAR provisions and clauses in effect through FAR FAC 2005-20, Effective September 17, 2007 and VAAR 97-10. NAICS Code 721110 and the small business size standard is $6 million. This announcement/solicitation is solicited unrestricted and constitutes the only bid document that will be issued (separate written solicitation document will not be issued). The Period of Performance for this requirement is January 27 2008 to Feb 8, 2008. A response to requirements listed below shall be submitted on letterhead and must address all requirements listed in a separate technical proposal. A Hotel Contract shall be submitted with your technical and price proposal, along with descriptive literature to include sleeping rooms, meeting room space, amenities of hotel e.t.c Any offer that does not meet the solicitation requirements will be rejected as nonresponsive. The following provisions and clauses shall apply to this solicitation: 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. Function: Introduction to Leadership (ITL), Course #2008-3 Dates: January 27 - February 8, 2008 Location: Veterans Benefits Academy 31 Hopkins Plaza, Suite G-100 Fallon Federal Building Baltimore, MD 21201 Requirements: 389 Sleeping room nights (Estimated @ $155.00 = $60295) (See breakdown of rooms per night below) " Government per diem or lower " Hotel must be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 " Hotel must be registered and current with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (before award) " Hotel must have Duns and Bradstreet number " Must have 3 Star or 3 Diamond rating " No penalty for rooms not used " Within 6 blocks of the training site " Banquet facility, with podium and microphone, and capability to provide on-site banquet for 40 people. " Ability to provide banquet meal at or below meal per diem rate of $29 per person on Thursday, February 8th from 6 -9 pm. " Provide shuttle service between the hotel and the training site (Veterans Benefits Academy 31 Hopkins Plaza) Provide the following within room cost: " Provide a microwave and refrigerator in each guest room " Private 1 ? hour welcome reception on Monday night, January 28th; 6-7:30PM. " On site fitness center " Provide networking/study room to accommodate, nightly, 26-30 people for networking and homework " Washer/dryer's on site " Provide high-speed Internet access, 24x7, in each sleeping room at no additional charge.
