- NAICS Code: 541380 In accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial Acquisition Procedures, the U.S. EPA ORD requires DNA pyrosequencing of metagenomic DNA and PCR product libraries provided by EPA using a Genome Sequencer FLX System. The contractor shall perform pyrosequencing reactions on metagenomic DNA and PCR products provided by EPA and provide DNA sequence reads. The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel, facilities, and equipment to perform the work. The shall generate pyrosequencing information from metagenomic DNA and PCR products obtained from amplification of small regions of bacterial DNA. The contractor shall: (1) perform DNA shearing and adaptor litigation experiments for metagenomic DNA including purification of resulting DNA-adapter fragments, (2) perform emulsion PCR; (3) perform pyrosequencing reactions using a Genome Sequencer FLX system; (4) read the DNA sequences; and (5) provide FASTA electronic file(s) containing the sequencing results (including individual DNA sequence reads and associated Phred equivalent quality scores). The program office will be ordering single sample format plates and four sample format plates. This procurement will conducted on a full and open basis. The applicable NAICS code is 541370. Award will be made using a Best Value Analysis. All responsible sources considering themselves qualified may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency. Any firm believing itself capable of providing the required DNA sampling must request a copy of the RFQ in writing within fifteen (15) days of electronic posting of this notice, prior to November 30, 2007.
