- 1005-01-453-9290, Part Number 6528309. The item to procure is a Cover Assembly, used on the M2 50 cal. Machine Gun. Machined from numerous complex pieces, including the cover which is manufactured from 4150, 6150, 8650 steel per ASTM A331 or A322 o r malleable iron, pearlitic casting per ASTM A220 Grade l45006. Other alternate materials are ductile iron casting per ASTM A536, Grade 80-55-06 or malleable iron or ductile iron castings per MIL-STD-2157, Class 2, Grade C & D. Size is .966 inches thick x 3.56 inches wide x 12.58 inches long. Flame or induction hardening required. This will be a 5-year IDIQ with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 10,500 ea and a contract maximum of 60,000 ea. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is November 30, 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY08 requirement.
