- Description
- This Notice replaces the one previously posted on November 14, 2007. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement to establish a maintenance parts and technical services program to support the Power Generation System installed on the National Security Cutter (NSC). The major components of the system include three Caterpillar 3512B diesel engines close coupled to three 1360 kW Baylor generators. This will be an Other Than Full and Open Competition Requirement using the Power Generation System Support Services Contract Vendor. All labor shall be performed by the original equipment manufacturer certified and authorized machinists, mechanics and technicians. It has been determined that only Caterpillar can furnish the desired services and parts for the NSC Power Generation System and the only responsible source that can analyze all these components simultaneously. This requirement will be a base year with two option years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
