Description
This solicitation amendment is issued to extend the deadline for submission of quotes; revise the estimated quantity; revise the scope of work; and correct the site visit. (v) Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, Estimated Quantity is changed to 53,000 tons of Embankment Material. Unit Price and Total Cost are to be shown in proposals responding to this solicitation. Unit prices quoted shall be per ton and include hauling. This is a Firm Fixed Price Requirement for all material furnished in accordance with the requirements in the scope of work. (vi) SCOPE OF WORK (SOW):I. PROJECT BACKGROUND: Change the fifth and sixth sentence to: The USIBWC plans on raising levees where they do not meet the 3 foot freeboard criteria, with the maximum deficiency being 2.5 feet. Approximately 14.1 miles of USIBWC levees, within a 64.5 mile reach from Donna Pump to Brownsville in the LRGFCP within Hidalgo and Cameron Counties will be raised with USIBWC forces. II. DESCRIPTION: Change first sentence to read: The Contractor shall furnish approximately 53,000 tons to be delivered on USIBWC?s levees in the LRGFCP from Donna Pump to Brownsville. (viii) Site Visit: Change to: Offerors are highly urged and expected to inspect the levee access points for each of the locations referenced to satisfy itself of site haul routes ingress and egress. An organized site visit has been scheduled to commence at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2007. Participants will meet at USIBWC, Mercedes Field Office, 325 Golf Course Road, Mercedes, TX 78570. This is the only site visit that will be arranged. Participant planning to attend must inform Mr. Richard Montemayor, by telephone no 956-565-3159, extension 244 at least one day prior to the scheduled site visit. (xiii) Clause 52.216-19, Order Limitations (Oct 1995) paragraph (b)(1) is changed to: 53,000 tons. (xvi) Quotes due date is changed to: Quotes are due to the USIBWC, Acquisitions Division, 4171 N Mesa, Suite C-100, El Paso, TX 79902-1441 by 2:00 p.m. MDST on November 29, 2007. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-NOV-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
