Description

This announcement is a modification of the previously announced synopsis of solicitation VA-256-07-RQ-0036 which was issued on July 20, 2007. Solicitation VA-256-07-RQ-0036 was canceled and reissued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under the following number: VA-256-08-RP-0031. The South Central Veterans Healthcare System (VISN 16) hereby announces its intention to solicit a firm-fixed price indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a qualified and responsible contractor who shall provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment, transportation, and supervision to deliver prescription eyeglasses and related optical services to the ten veterans affairs medical centers (VAMCs) and their community-based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) located in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. The contract will be in effect from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008 plus four (4) one-year renewal options. This solicitation is assigned reference number VA-256-08-RP-0031 and is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code 446130 and its small business size standard of $6.5 million or less apply to this solicitation. This solicitation was posted and available for download on November 13, 2007 from http://fedbizopps.gov/. Offer will be due back in the issuing office on November 20, 2007, 4:00 PM (U.S. Central Time). Faxed or emailed offers are not acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. All bidders interested in this solicitation are responsible for monitoring http://fedbizopps.gov/ for amendment(s) to this solicitation if any and making sure amendments are acknowledged in accordance with the instructions provided in the solicitation and in amendments themselves. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award.
