- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement to establish a maintenance parts and technical services program to support the Ship Service Switchboard installed on the National Security Cutter (NSC). There are three switchboards. The major components of the system include 450 Volt 1S Ship Service Switchboard 450 volts alternating current 3 phase, 3 wire, 60 hertz (Hz) power utilized for the protection and control of the 1S Generator and provides the electric power distribution system; one 1SG input rated at 3000 amperes and two 3000 ampere rated bus tie circuit breakers to link the 1S bus to the ring bus power architecture of the NSC. This will be an Other Than Full and Open Competition Requirement using the Ship Service Switchboard Support Services Contract Vendor. All labor shall be performed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified and authorized machinists, mechanics and technicians. It is the Government's belief that only Carolina Power can furnish the desired services and parts for the NSC Ship Service Switchboard and the only responsible source that can analyze all the components simultaneously. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within ten (10) days of this announcement. However, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than OEM parts and services are required to submit the following information: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts and services. (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics) 2) Complete and provide current information on training and configuration control of the Ship Service Switchboard system. (i.e. technical manuals, engineering changes and software). This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. This information is due within ten (10) days from the date of this announcement. This announcement is issued in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. No cost or pricing data is required.
