- Description
- This amendment provides answers to questions posed. 1. Please clarify the current AFIS database size and conversion required as follows: Current database size: Approximately 250,000 total records Current number of electronic records: Approximately 65,000 records Current number of card records: Approximately 250,000 records Number of electronic records to be converted: Approximately 65,000 records Number of card records to be converted: Approximately 185,000 records 2. Please define the method that you expect the winning vendor to extract the fingerprint images from the current "AFIS". Are they stored in file system folders, Oracle BLOB? Are they stored in NIST format (WSQ)? Will current "AFIS" provider supply the schema of the data? The vendor can extract the existing electronic records by copying them to an external drive. They are NIST format records. 3. Please clarify the expected database size as follows: Tenprint Records: Not less than 600,000 records Palmprint Records: 100,000 records Latent Records: 100,000 records 4. Please clarify the expected number of palmprint searches: Palm searches are expected to be no more than 100 per day 5. Is the AFIX Tracker "AFIS" the same system that is hosting the current database of 65,000 records? Yes 6. The seven remote data entry/fingerprint query terminals state that the terminals shall support both live scan and card scan fingerprint acquisition. Please explain how latent prints will be captured and how many workstations for latent capture are required. Latent lifts will be scanned using the card scanner. This will require the scanner to acquire images at 1000 dpi. The remote query terminals should support latent query capabilities. 7. Please confirm that the seven remote data entry/fingerprint query terminals do not require the capture and storage of a facial image. The seven remote terminals do require the capability to capture and store digital images as noted in the specifications 8. Does this mean pricing is to be sent in a separate email or can the pricing be sent with the technical proposal as a separate file? The pricing proposal shall be sent as a separate file in the emailed submission. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (06-NOV-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
