Description
This is modification 2 to the synopsis entitled Portable Telemetry Antenna System/4200206748 which was posted on October 15,2007 and modification 1 posted on November 1, 2007. You are notified that the following changes are made: Questions answered about travel speed and transportable requirements including weight requirements and the allowed number of subassemblies. Contractors are required to acknowledge all modifications in your response. The due date for responses is not extended and remains November 13, 2007 by 1:00 PM (EST). Questions: In question No. 6 of the modified solicitation, the Government stated that an elevation travel speed of 3 degrees/second and an azimuth travel speed of 6 degrees/second would be acceptable. This positive response may be in error, as these travel rates will be insufficient to track most LEO satellites. Tracking many of the LEO satellites will require travel rates of at least 8 degrees/second, thus the original specification for 10 degrees/second. Please review the Government?s original response. Is the travel speed correct? Response 1: Upon review: The original specification of 10 degrees/second is correct. When the specs say transportable - do they mean vehicle transportable or man transportable? Response 2: The specifications listed for weight and size and number of components are our transport requirements. If the company's antenna meets these requirements then our transportation requirements are satisfied. These are the specified requirements. Note: no change from original. The total antenna system and associated transit cases must not weigh more than 900 pounds. No subassembly in its transit case must weigh more then 150 pounds. The number of subassemblies in their transit cases must not exceed 15 pieces. Each subassembly must have a transit case. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.
