- THIS IS AN 8(A) SOLE SOURCE SET A-SIDE FOR IKBI, Inc., Choctaw, Mississippi. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and performing the re-roofing of Mississippi River Commission Building, located on Walnut Street in downtown Vicksburg, Mississippi. The re-roofing project includes performing a complete inspection of the roof and gutters, and clean gutters. Principal features of the work include removing and replacing damaged ridge caps and cleats, repairing or rep lacing finials, patching elastomeric roof, removing and replacing damaged slate roof with Government-furnished slate, cleaning gutters, providing copper lead-in to downspouts, removing paint from copper flashing, replacing damaged bird control needles with Government-furnished needles, replacing top of skylight with a plywood and sheet metal cap, realigning finials, replacing damaged or missing step areas on elastomeric roof, painting windows, louvers and mechanical areas on the upper floor, and performing environmental protection The value of the proposed work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Potential SUBCONTRACTORS may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.2fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Offeror and p otential subcontractors should check FEDBIZOPS often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about 14 November 07. Request for Proposal Due on or about 14 December 2007. Rights-of-Way to proceed with construction are not available; therefore, contract a ward will not be made until all necessary rights-of-way are available.
