Description
The VA Medical Center, Bath, New York is seeking professional architect/engineering firms to provide construction documents, working drawings, specifications and cost estimate, shop drawing review and construction period services as required for two separate projects at VAMC, Bath, New York. Renovate for Colonoscopy Suite and Site Preparation for new X-ray Equipment Room 127 and 128, Building 76. The design for all projects shall meet Space and Planning Specifications and the VA Master Specifications, as outlined in VA Handbook 7610. A/E shall survey for Asbestos, and provide Asbestos Monitoring Services during Construction as needed. Construction documentation must include phasing drawings for Demolition/Asbestos Abatement/New Construction with the 100% Submission Package. All designs must be certified by a licensed Engineer. The first project will renovate the current space in Building 76 into a Colonoscopy Suite that contains two (2) procedure rooms, one (1) for colonoscopy and one (1) set up to do colonoscopies and other procedures. A new HVAC System will be installed. The controls must include a central energy management system, capable of being integrated with the entire HVAC System building wide and be networked into a campus wide energy management system in the future. Capabilities for positive/negative pressures will be incorporate with proper air changes. The HVAC should be provided in accordance with the VA Master spec., (Division 23). The second project will prepare the locations of the new incoming x-ray equipment, (2) new x-ray machines, and relocate the existing x-ray room. A new HVAC System will be incorporated into radiology space to provide the required pressures (negative or positive), correct number of air changes, and maintain overall temperature control. The controls must include a central energy management system that can be networked into a campus wide energy management system in the future. The following evaluation criteria will be used during the A/E selection process: 1. Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required. 2. Capability of the firm to perform the work within required time frame. 3. Past Performance. 4. Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the project design team. 5. Geographic location of the firms working office in relationship to the renovation site. Firms desiring consideration must have a working office located within 150 miles of the Bath, New York city limits. All interested A/E firms are invited to submit Standard Form 330, Architect Engineer Qualifications and for any consultants, on SF 330 Extra Sections E and F. The estimated construction cost for the Colonoscopy Suite is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The estimated construction cost for the two (2) X-rays Suites is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00.
