Description

The Government has completed its Market Research posted on the Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) dated 30 May 2007, and concluded that only Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Carson, CA. possesses the unique capabilities to provide addit ional quantities of FBCB2 Installation Kits and Cables used to install for the continued production of the FBCB2 Computer Systems. The Government intends to increase the ceiling of the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the Instal lation Kits and Cables. This action is to support PM FBCB2 ongoing efforts in support of wartime operations and the continuation of the Full Rate Production phase of the Computer Systems. There will be no change to the existing period of performance which runs through 2011. The Government does not possess the detailed drawings for the FBCB2 Installation Kits and Cables, and related hardware support services. The Government has validated the FBCB2 Systems design through extensive testing, including Reliabi lity, Interchangeability, Systems Interoperability, and full First Article Qualification Tests. This acquisition will be accomplished through modification of contract W15P7T-05-D-J208. Contract W15P7T-05-D-J208 was awarded to Northrop Grumman Mission Syste ms on 7 March 2005, on a sole source basis pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source, per J&A Control Number 04-130 approved 30 April 2004. This contract modification will be awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Mission Systems pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 per J&A Control Number 07-1012.
