- DESC: 1005-01-249-0184, Part Number 12540405, The item to procure is HEAT SHIELD ASSEMBLY F/M249 CONSISTS OF A FORMED PLASTIC HEAT SHIELD GUARD OVER A FORMED STEEL HEAT SHIELD. BOTH PARTS HAVE HEAT DISPERSING HOLES THE APPROXIMATE SIZE IS 10 IN LONG X 2 1/8 IN WIDE X 1 1/2 INCHES HIGH. Requirements are for a 5-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract, guaranteed contract min. 1,000 each, contract maximum is 125,000 each, M249 Heat Shield. FOB is destination. For use on the M249 SAW. E stimated issue date is 21 Nov 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by acces sing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
