- The U.S. Military Academy is seeking SBA certified 8(a) concerns who are interested in competing for a requirement to provide Vehicle Operations and Consolidated Maintenance services at West Point, NY. Various areas of work are vehicle and equipment maintenance, maintenance and repa ir of furniture, maintenance and repair of weapons, armament, and historical artifacts, maintenance and repair of miscellaneous equipment, heavy equipment repair and repair and vehicle operations. Vehicle operations consist of dispatching, recurring vehic le support, water trailers, contractor operated vehicles, post shuttle bus, airport/train services, vehicle recovery, tractor trailer service, special event and trip support, POL management, driver testing, maintenance and repair of vehicles leased from GS A/IFMS, and summer augmentation support. Interested sources are requested to provide their capabilities by email to the point of contact not later than 12 November 2007. The information provided should be in sufficient detail to show the 8(a) firms past work in the areas specified. The information provided will be used in the recommendation for the set aside decision. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be for a base period plus 4 option years and include an optional six month extension of ser vices. It is anticipated that the contract type will be firm fixed price with some labor hour and some cost reimbursement CLINs. The NAICS for this requirement is 561210 and the size standard is $32.5 million. There is no solicitation available at this time. Questions about this requirement will not receive a response. This sources sought notice is to receive input on the capabilities of 8(a) firms which will be considered by the government in the 8(a) set aside decision.
