Description
The Shield, Heat, Aircraft functions as the outer support of the turbine frame assembly. P/N: 1360M94G09, NSN: 2840-01-381-1617 JU. Dimensions: 34 inches diameter by 4.8 inches wide. Material: AMS 4911. Anticipated quantity range to be solicited is between 4 EA and 21 EA. Best Estimated Quantity is currently 14 EA. Final quantity will be determined at time of award. Delivery is 470 DARO. First Articles Required. QRs Apply. Data is export controlled. The solicitation/procurement data is approved for release only to U.S. DOD contractors who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Anticipated solicitation issue date is 19 Nov 2007. The technical data will be posted on the www.fedteds.gov website and will not be available until the solicitation is posted. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to dimish the authority of the program direcotr or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Obudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Obudsman does not paricipate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Obudsman at (405) 736-3273. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Request for Proposals will be posted to FedBizOpps and should be obtained from there. Please do not call this office for a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated award date will be 90 days after solicitation closes. Specialized manufacturing and inspection processes require prequalification of alternate sources to ensure the reliability and quality of the part; therefore engineering source approval is required. All repsonsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely, shall be considered. See notes: 23 & 26
