- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue a Request for Proposal VA-797-08-RP-0012 for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Item #1 - Folding walker, wheeled without seat (E0143) and, Item #2 Walker, folding (pick up) Adjustable (E0135) along with accessory items. The VA estimates it annual usage of Item #1 to be 15,514 while its annual usage for Item #2 is 23,055. One award will be made per walker type resulting in a maximum of two awards for this solicitation. The contract period for this procurement will be one base year, plus four one-year option periods. Delivery shall be made to any VAMC within the United States and Puerto Rico upon issuance of a delivery/purchase order. Company's who do not manufacture the solicited items will be required to submit a commitment letter from the manufacture for the full five year contract duration. The solicitation will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or before November 16, 2007 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for these items is 339112. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted. Interested offerors are advised to continuously monitor this URL for any changes to this solicitation.
