- Description
- This document serves as a formal A76 Streamline Competitive Sourcing Study Pre-Solicitation Notice for SSA-RFP-07-1038, Editor services at the Social Security Administration . The Editor function under study is responsible for the editing of all research, analysis, and statistics prepared by the Office of Policy for publication in print, on the web or both. The incumbent service provider currently performing the activity under study is the Social Security Administration/ Office of Policy. The activity under study is currently provided at the Social Security Administration's in Woodlawn, MD and Washington, DC. The intent is to select a prospective provider (private or public) whose offer or tender conforms to the solicitation requirements and is based on the lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA) offer. Agency: Social Security Administration- Agency Component: Office of Policy, Division of Information Resources- Type of Competition: Streamlined- Start date of the competition: March 29, 2007- Description of activity being competed: Editing of all research, analysis, and statistics prepared by the Office of Policy for publications in print, on the web, or both- Incumbent service providers: Government employees- Number of government personnel performing the activity: 3.25 FTEs- Name of the CSO: Michael J. Astrue, Commissioner of SSA- Name of the Contracting Officer: Jacqueline R. Lessig- Name of the ATO: - Linda Maxfield- Projected end date of the competition: June 28, 2007 - SSA anticipates release of a formal solicitation/ Request for Proposals, SSA-RFP-07-1038, for this A-76 Streamlined Competition in the FedBizOps forum on or about April 16, 2007. The Social Security Administration anticipates awarding a one year firm-fixed price contract, with four option years for Editor Services. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 711510, with a size standard of $6,500,000.00. This procurement will be a 100% small business set-aside (See Number Note 1).
