- Description
- Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), 1200 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005, intends to negotiate a contract with Dow Jones & Co, an online service for Electronic News Delivery Services delivered via Lotus Notes. This service provides real-time news delivery of Dow Jones news sources, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Barron's and Federal Filings. This system is a unique informatinal tool. The information and e-mail service that this publisher provides is proprietary. PBGC intends to negotiate a contract under the authority of FAR 13.105. The Government is unaware that any other source that can provide the required electronic services. However, statements of capability to fulfill this requirement received from other responsible businesses prior to close of business on November 12, 2007 will be evaluated for purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
