- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole-source procurement to Recon/Optical Inc. (ROI), 550 West Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL 60010-3094 to procure two (2) F/A-18 SHAred Reconnaissance Pod (SHARP) Medium Altitude Sensor (MAS) Mass Models. The effort involves procuring 2 form/fit MAS models that do not include optics. The effort also includes software to simulate built in test problems with an actual MAS sensor. ROI, is the Original and Sole Equipment Manufacturer of the SHARP MAS Sensor, and have retained the technical data and expertise necessary to build these systems. The Government?s intention is to award a firm fixed price type contract for this action.
