- The U.S. Coast Guard engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD has a requirement to issue a Requirements Type Contract, Firm Fixed Priced, from date of award for base year with options to renew for three (3) additional years is anticipated, utilizing Commercial Acquisition Procedures utilizing the Test Program for Commercial Items in accordance with FAR 13.5 for the three (3) items in estimated quantities as follows: 0001. NSN 5825-01-378-4592, Datum Marker Buoy, 240.60 MHz, AM, DME Corporation part number G1-09-0001-001 ONLY, estimated annual quantity, 242 each, 0002. NSN 5825-01-378-9192, Datum Marker Buoy, 156.750 MHz FM, G1-09-0002-001 ONLY, estimated annual quantity, 129 each. 0003. NSN 5825-01-378-9225, Datum Marker Buoy, 242.65 MHz, AM, DME Corporation part number G1-09-0001-002 ONLY, estimated annual quantity 128 each. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 334511 and the size standard for small business is 750 employees It is the Government's belief that only DME Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, possess the required technical and engineering specifications required to manufacture these items. The Government did not procure this information, or the right to use this information. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate ONLY with DME Corporation. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the items were invited to submit their capabilities in the Sources Sought Notice published in FedBizOpps on May 9th 2007. NO responses were received. The Request for Proposal (RFP) Number HSCG40-07-R-20023 will be available for download from www.fbo.gov. on or about 19 November 2007. This date is estimated at best. The closing date for receipt of proposal is contingent upon the release of the RFP package but is estimated to be 19 December 2007. For information regarding this acquisition contact the Contracting officials listed herein. The Request for Proposal (RFP) and all associated documents will tentatively be issued on or about 19 November 2007. Be advised that this date is estimated at best, and it is the contractor?s responsibility to check at www.fbo.gov. regularly for release of the solicitation. Requests for copies of the solicitation are NOT available to be mailed. Production delivery is required Delivery is 150/180 after receipt of delivery order. FOB: Destination, U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, Maryland 21226-5000. Packaging/packing shall be in accordance with ASTM-D3951. Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129,and bar coding is required and shall be in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard Bar Coding Specification number D-000-0100 Revision F dated 06/00.
