Description
The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award a sole source contract to Randolph Inn for performer and support personnel lodging for the period of Nov 2nd through the 4th for the 2007 Randolph AFB, TX Air Show. Award is intended for on-base facilities due to proximity to the flightline and adherence to Air Force Instruction 34-246, which states "Before placing an official traveler in commercial lodging or issuing a non-availability number, lodging operations will assign guests to available rooms that meet or exceed the minimum adequacy standards." Award will be made in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F3P3E27288A001 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 721110, and the size standard is $6.5M. The contract is for the lodging of approximately 240 performers and support personnel for the 2007 Randolph Air Force Base Air Show. Award is anticipated on 31 Oct 2007. Interested persons may express their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by 3:30 PM CST, 30 Oct 2007. The specific evaluation factors for this provision are lowest price technically acceptable.
