- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure Datum Marker Buoys (3 items) which are used in marking and locating sinking or disabled vessels, vessel sinking victims who are adrift, contraband that is adrift and finding deployed aircrew swimmers in waterways and oceans. The parts to be procured include: 1. NSN 5825-01-378-4592, Datum Marker Buoy, (240.600 MHz, AM), DME Corporation part number G1-09-0001-001 ONLY 2. NSN 5825-01-378-9192, Datum Marker Buoy, (156.750 MHz FM), DME Corporation part number G1-09-0002-001 ONLY . 3. NSN 5825-01-378-9225, Datum Marker Buoy, (242.650 MHz, AM), DME Corporation part number G1-09-0001-002 ONLY. Alternate part numbers are NOT acceptable. A fixed priced commercial Requirements contract with one base year and four option years is anticipated and shall be awarded as a result of this solicitation. It is the Government?s belief that only DME Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, possesses the required cababilities to successfully these manufacture Data Marker Buoys. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY! The U.S. Coast Guard does NOT possess the data rights to the specifications and drawings and other technical data . This information is proprietary to DME Corporation. It is the Government?s intention to solicit and negotiate only with DME Corporation. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to manufacture these components are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical functional characteristics or 2) data that offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original equipment manufacturer. No cost or pricing is required. This is not a solicitation. This is a request for information only. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
