- The Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC) intends to award a firm-fixed price personal service contract for Emergency Ambulance Services at William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), El Paso, Texas and surrounding areas. Services shall be pro vided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Contractor shall provide all personnel, uniforms, and administration support. The area of responsibility for responding to emergencies consists of WBAMC, all areas within the Fort Bliss military reservation includ ing Biggs Army Airfield and locations within a five minute driving radius of WBAMC for calls referred by city Emergency Medical Services (EMS). For the purpose of patient transports/transfers, administrative transfers, transports to/from aero-medical evac uation sites, and field ambulance services, the area of responsibility encompasses a 60-mile off-post radius of the WBAMC flag pole which includes the states of Texas and New Mexico, but does not include White Sands Missile Range, NM. In a few cases (appr oximately eight times per year), extension of the 60-mile off post radius may be necessary. The Period of Performance is projected to be 01 April 2008 through 30 September 2008 with four 1-year option periods. The NAICS code for this procurement is 62191 0 and the Small Business Size Standard is $6.5 million. This procurement will be a set aside for small business. The solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: http://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 15 Nov 2007. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued and no solicitation mailing list will be compiled.
